7 New Stories For Your Reading Pleasure (November 2024)
What do the US elections, brainwashing, faith, hyperbitcoinization, lizard people's secret cabal, and Tesla have in common? This newsletter, for one.
I did not write much in November. It was a busy month, and I was all over the place, focusing on things of a more material nature. Still, here are the seven stories I managed to publish - just for you, dear reader.
The list of November 2024 stories
I've Never Met a Person I Agreed on Everything With - and That's Okay
Technological Breakthroughs - Tesla, iPhone, and AI Revolution
Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and get to reading.
There was no way to avoid the US election in the last couple of weeks, even for us, who are not Americans. Needless to say, the US politics are much more entertaining than most. Anyway, we have a winner, who some perceive as the great new hope, while others poke their eyes out, terrified of what is to come.
I thought some level-headedness was called for, so I wrote two pieces on the topic at ZZ Meditations: one for the “frightened” and the other for the “religious.”
Anxious About the Election? - Relax, God Is In Control
This post is for those claiming to be religious but somehow find themselves scared and frustrated ahead of the elections and for those who realize they don't have faith after all.
If you've read my work, you probably know that I'm no fan of religion—any religion. I do, however, admit that being religious and believing in a force far greater than yourself can be beneficial for achieving inner peace.
Oddly enough, I see millions of religious people utterly terrified of the coming elections. Where’s your faith in their God? The unshakable trust that God is in control, and he knows what he's doing and doesn't need any help from you, mere mortals.
This article examines the strength of “your” faith and where you honestly stand.
We look at how to either lean into your faith to find peace with an unfavorable outcome you believe will bring about terrors by trusting your preferred deity or build a new foundation based on reason since you have no faith.
Faith, reason, and philosophy all serve the same purpose. Use them!
Terrified of the Election Result? - Give Me 10 Minutes!
I know some of you are suffering right now
I get it. You are afraid that everything you were led to believe will now happen. Trump is Hitler, after all, and the world is about to end any minute now.
Your rights will be stripped away, Jesus will return, women will become birthing mules, Putin will sit in the Oval Office playing nuclear poker with Kim the Second over a bottle of Vodka, and gays will go straight overnight.
In this article:
We talk about what is much more likely to happen.
We examine your past experience and your ability to foresee the future.
We check on the validity of your fears and see if you’ve ever found yourself in a similar situation and how that went.
We form a written exercise of your future predictions, with which you will prove to yourselves whether your fears were founded on “truth” or if you were brainwashed into fear for no good reason whatsoever by those profiting from it.
The wiser you get, the more you realize the fundamental truth about life: You know nothing. You never have all the information. You can't predict the future. Your thoughts and emotions don't mean anything. You don't even see the world objectively. Everything is just an opinion, a perspective, not some absolute truth. Make peace with it, allow others to have different opinions, and you will feel instantly better.
I've Never Met a Person I Agreed on Everything With - and That's Okay
We don't have to agree on everything and be on the same side of the issue to love, accept, and respect each other.
I love reading good books from great thinkers. Even with these uber-minds, I find things that are either completely insane, unplausible to my understanding of reality, or that I simply disagree with.
Here's the thing: I don't take it against them! I take what I like and leave out what I dislike. It's okay to disagree. We can still learn from each other.
I'm sure that most readers occasionally find problems with my perspective, beliefs, and ideas, and I'm fine with that.
A recipe for happy relationships with people you disagree with:
Take nothing personal. It’s not about you. Never make your belief a personal identity, or you will always perceive every opposing opinion as a personal attack.
Understand that we all have different opinions and perspectives, and that is all there is. There is no absolute truth in most things, only perspectives. The wiser you get, the more you realize the truth - you know nothing, so you’ll be more open to other ideas.
Stop trying to change people's minds, fix them, and convince them that you are right. It’s their life. Let them live it.
Focus on what you have in common and talk about that. Believe what you will and accept that others believe differently. In the end, we all eat the fruits of our beliefs.
Let's celebrate our differences and laugh at how incompatible we are instead of forcing everyone on our side. We'll get along much better.
Are People Easier to Brainwash Today Than In the Past?
I keep having this fiery discussion with my friends:
They claim that since the inception of social media, algorithms, censorship - in one word, the internet - people have become so easy to manipulate and brainwash.
" It has never been so easy to manipulate the masses as it is today, and that is frightening.”My claim is the opposite. While mass manipulation and brainwashing are definitely happening and are widespread, we all now have access to information, opposing opinions, and different sources and are able to make up our own minds like never before in the history of time.
" We have more access to information than ever before to come to our own conclusions.”
I argue this point in this short essay. What do you think—has technology made it easier to brainwash and control us or made it more difficult?
Are you honestly suggesting that we were less open to manipulation when we couldn’t even read and had no direct access to information whatsoever?
Technological Breakthroughs - Tesla, iPhone, and AI Revolution
The iPhone moment with Tesla
The feeling I got from my first tangible contact with a Tesla was similar to when I bought my first iPhone. I instantly knew there was no turning back.
Remember, back in those days, the market was ruled by Motorolas, Nokias, and Blackberries. Once you got your hands on an iPhone, you were transported into a modern era. They took over the market like there was no tomorrow. I predict something similar will happen with Tesla.
In this article, I make my bullish long-term prediction for Tesla and compare the classical car experience with owning a Tesla.
I don't know what life will look like in 50 years, but the difference will be unimaginably larger than the difference between 2024 and 1974. In one possible future, Tesla will be one of the biggest winners, and rightfully so.
In my fiction-focused publication Zedicion, I wrote about why the “lizard cabal” are the good guys and speculated on the “Age of Hyperbitcoinization” with guests from alternate universes in Interdimensional talks.
A Secret Cabal Rules the World - Thankfully!
The president doesn't matter. The Illuminati, the Bilderbergs, Rothchilds, Jews, aliens, and lizard people conspire to rule the world from the shadows. Maybe that's a good thing.
I don't know whether any of it is true. Still, it makes sense that the most powerful people in the world get together occasionally, have each other on speed dial, and determine the course of humanity. This is the pattern in every other social, political, and economic circle.
In this article, I “steel man” (argue for the opposite point) the benefit of having a cabal to rule over the world.
What would be better:
If there was a secret cabal that rules the world, who makes sure things don't get out of hand and are controlling the world stage, or
If we are all just lost in chaos, winging it as we feel like it, all looking after only our own interests?
Looking back at the last couple of decades, it sure looks like a good bunch of secret cabal fellows doing a damn good job. "Thank you, oh secret overlords, keep up the good work," seems in order. Someone send them flowers and a virgin to sacrifice, quickly!
The Age of Hyperbitcoinization - Heaven or Hell?
Is it possible that bitcoin goes to 1 million dollars?
What happens if countries adopt bitcoin?
What is Hyperbitcoinization?
Interdimensional Talks -Episode 20: When bitcoin takes over the world
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to another exciting episode of Interdimensional Talks. I'm your host, Mike. Today, we will stay a little more grounded—no aliens or world-ending apocalypses for a change. We may actually be able to learn something. No promises, though. This is not that kind of show.
We're going to talk about money, but not just any money - the magic internet money we call Bitcoin. Our guest comes from a parallel universe, but she might as well have come from the future. From what I've gathered, we live in similar realities. "
…
Mike: "Please explain Hyperbitcoinization like we don't know what that means because we don't."
Michelle Lee: "It means that bitcoin became the dominant global currency, replacing national currencies for the most part. We price everything in bitcoin."
Mike: "I have a hard time believing this could happen. How long did it take?"
Michelle Lee: "A little over a decade for bitcoin to go mainstream. After the USA added bitcoin to their strategic reserves, the other countries followed suit. ETFs made it simple for millionaires to gain exposure to bitcoin, and half the politicians were suddenly bitcoin supporters, so the tide changed violently. No more cycles. No more volatility to the downside. It was unbelievable to watch until it settled. But by then, 99% were priced out of the network and were now fighting for scraps."
Mike: "What do you mean by priced out? Bitcoin got too expensive for an average person to buy?"
Michelle Lee: "Not just bitcoin - everything! You earn your money in dollars, for example, but we measure the price of everything in bitcoin, which grows and grows and never stops. Soon, the only people who can buy anything are those with distasteful amounts of wealth. A new class of citizen is born - the Bitcoin Rich."
