In ZZ Meditations, we started this month by objectively examining the prospect and danger of a nuclear apocalypse.
Who’s Afraid of a Nuclear War Apocalypse?
We ask ourselves the following questions:
How likely is nuclear World War III?
What is the most likely scenario after using nuclear weapons in combat?
The worst-case scenario of a nuclear war?
Where do you want to be if nuclear war begins?
So, should you be afraid of nuclear war?
We might start collective glowing at night, but that could be useful when fighting the rat people in the underground tunnels.
Next, I argue against the dystopian prediction about humanity. Yes, I’ve been wearing my optimist hat again. Guilty as charged.
Why Assume People Would Turn Evil After an Apocalypse?
Let us discuss:
Are people inherently good or evil?
How do people react to tragedies or large proportions?
How many people automatically turn to monsters after a catastrophe?
Why is our survival dependent on us working together and holding on to our humanity?
The best sides of humanity reveal themselves in the face of widespread human tragedy. People step together and do their best to help those most affected.
Sticking to the topic of things to fear, we ask:
What Should You Fear?
We contemplate the following:
What do we stand to gain by being afraid?
What is under our control, and what is not?
What can you do about the terrifying future events?
Is complete risk avoidance really how you want to live your life?
The greatest irony of all (find out what it si by reading the article).
Life is all about uncertainty and how to deal with it.
Being brave or fearless is not a magical superpower - it’s a choice.
That’s why it’s called an adventure, and life, dear friends, is all about adventure. Otherwise, what’s the point?
Anxiety and fear and siblings. I struggled with anxiety, but I’ve learned to “nip it in the but.”
I Escaped Anxiety Today - Here's How
In this article, we delve into:
How do you stop anxiety?
What causes anxiety?
A four-step process of stopping anxiety:
Notice what is happening.
Detach from your mind.
Choose not to entertain those thoughts and feelings.
Deliberately and intensely observe your mind as a witnessing observer, knowing you are not the mind and that those thoughts mean nothing.
Understanding that your thoughts and feelings cause anxiety, not outside events.
The cinema analogy - learn to observe your mind like a screen.
What else helps with anxiety?
"Today I escaped anxiety. Or no, I discarded it, because it was within me, in my own perceptions — not outside." - Marcus Aurelius
A hard early life might prepare you for life’s limitless challenges.
Toughness Is Earned - Easy Life Leads to Hard Times
We take a look at:
A few examples of where toughness from a rough life might be useful.
Parenting as a detailed example where mental toughness might enable you to flow effortlessly through parenting, while most people struggle immensely.
A reframing of your past suffering as something beneficial, enabling us to move on, forgive, and make peace with our past.
Aren't all heroes, super or otherwise, born of hellish beginnings? Why do you think that is?
Risk-taking can come naturally to you, or it can be learned. There are trades you should always take, as they are essentially risk-free trades.
Apply For That Job - It’s a Risk-Free Trade
We examine:
Three possible outcomes when applying for a new job.
What are we risking?
How to diminish the emotional price of a rejection.
What do we stand to gain?
When you want something and the risk is merely the threat of emotional pain, you should take the bet, make an effort, and put yourself out there.
I may understand that kids aren’t fully grown adults and can’t handle their emotions the way adults can, but they still get to me.
Sometimes, It’s Hard Not to Be Angry at Your Kids, But This helps
In this article, we remind ourselves of the fact that children aren’t fully developed adults in seven short reminders, we should always remember when our kids get to us.
Children can’t handle emotions like adults. They easily get overwhelmed by things that seem trivial to us, drowning in feelings.
On the topic of children, let’s examine a metaphysical perspective in Master the Mind—Master the World.
How (not) to React When Children Misbehave
Counterintuitively, the harder we try, the less progress we make.
The more we hate something, the more it must be reflected in our reality.
The more we hit our heads against the wall on some problem, the more that problem must persist.
As we understand the mind-over-matter principles, we must paint a different picture in our minds in order to enact change.
How do you change your children’s behavior or persistent issues?
Do you want to be right or do you want things to change for the better?
I wrote a cheeky, mildly provocative article about summoning a nuclear war, as it seems to be something we’re so desperately trying to do (without being aware of it).
How to Collectively Summon a Nuclear War Apocalypse?
We look at:
A recipe for manifesting a nuclear apocalypse.
How powerful fear is in manifesting.
Compare your desires with your fears.
Why does fear manifest more easily than our desires?
The collective manifestation of fears.
Do you really want to manifest the essence of this fear into your life?
Congratulations, everyone - we’ve manifested a nuclear apocalypse! You either create everything or nothing. You can’t have it both ways.
On the topic of things we definitely don’t want to manifest, here are three minor ones that caught me by surprise.
3 Shocking Manifestations I Never Wanted
The stories mentioned in detail:
I suddenly need glasses.
From buying a new car in my mind to selling cars for a living.
Silly phrase causes pain in the most unlikely place.
Having told all these stories, I now feel naked and exposed. Oh well. Perhaps it will ignite a lightbulb for some of you about the possible connections between your thoughts and imaginings and what you are experiencing in your life.
Suppose the theories are true, and we live in a simulation.
How to wake up from the simulation?
We look at the three paths toward enlightenment or awakening from the simulation:
A near-death experience (NDE) or intense trauma.
Hallucinogenic experience either through hallucinogenic drugs or prolonged meditation.
Deductive reasoning by examining the evidence experimentation.
What are my personal experiences on the topic?
How will you know you awoke from the simulation or have become enlightened?
Waking up from the simulation is not all rainbows and roses!
I’ll be honest. I’m not sure I wouldn’t have just ended some eternally wandering hobo, and I have only the love of my family and girlfriend to thank otherwise.
I didn’t really know where to publish the following article, but I chose the publication that deals with alternate realities and possibilities.
What Is Your Idea of Heaven?
Regardless of your cultural or religious origins, I’m sure you know some form of heavenly exitance after death.
Heaven is usually depicted as an idealized version of life on Earth without the “bad parts.”
What is heaven to you?
How do you imagine a perfect afterlife?
How can heaven quickly become hell?
What is my vision of an afterlife and heaven?
Does God get bored of being God?
Utopia for you might be a prison for me. Heaven for me might be hell for you.
Sticking to alternative possibilities regarding religious ideas…
The Bible Could Free You From the Simulation but Enslaved You Instead
The simulation theory has often been compared to the creation myth of Christianity. I believe "The Good Book" is misunderstood, hence the title.
Alternative interpretation of the whole religious myth.
What is God?
What are heaven and hell?
Who is the creator?
What is prayer?
What is sin?
Who is judging you?
Why seek forgiveness?
What does the Bible have to do with living in the simulation?
The Bible could just be a set of old meaningful tales meant to scare the children into submission, or it could be an ancient self-help book, trying its best to explain complex ideas to simple minds using stories and anecdotes.
That was it for this month. I hope you enjoyed some of these stories and that they made your day just a bit more interesting.
